With all these muffled feelings,

Inside my head was ticking,

And I had to swim against the tide,

I sank like the promises
You made while your heart was hollow

With your terrifying smile saying goodbye

I dream of the silent coast

Where the wind caress my face

Like your once eager kiss

For it is our very own nature

Not to be sturdy
But to bend and not break.

And everybody thought we were a perfect match

Even though now you're trying to

Recreate what we had

For I've dreamed of
Seeing you in the aisle
Now I’m a stranger in your phonebook and life.

I dream of the silent coast

Where the wind caresses my face

Like your once eager kiss

Lost in all this mess

Now I must find a new path

An answer, shine and glow,

a lighthouse for my own

SHIPS & PEARLS
